Koi Carp - mellow waters Canvas I still feel exceptionally luckySwimming Koi Carp. Cut from paper, painted with high pigment professional watercolour and hand shaped. These koi are raised off of their watery painted background to form shadows and to replicate the beautiful shifting shape of swimming koi. This piece is one in a series of koi carp paper cut pieces that I started developing over the summer. Months of watching koi swim, studying their form and movement went before these pieces were created. Each piece
